  • Sing-Along @ DC9 Nightclub: A People's Choir DC  is a monthly, themed bar sing-along. This month, we're singing about things that we crave: things that are wanted, needed, wished for, etc. Song titles should reflect some sort of desire, and/or it should be a prominent feature in the lyrics.   • PBR Art @ Songbyrd: During Wednesday's PBR Art & Soul showcase, see what 10 local artists have done as they each show three pieces of PBR related art. Plus, stick around to dance as DJ Martin Miguel and Mr. Bonkerz spin funk & soul music all night. Doors open @ 7. 2477 18th St NW ( FREE | 21+)

  • Indoor Pavilion @ Wunder Garden: Celebrate the new heated tent at its official Launch Party featuring a free beer for the first 100 guests, plus food and music by DJ Lehi. Be there at 4 pm! 1101 First St NE (FREE)

  • US Botanic Garden Seasons Greetings: The U.S. Botanic Garden gets decked out for the holidays thanks to this annual exhibit featuring a model train exhibit running through 45 plant-based models of national parks and historic places like the Grand Canyon, the Statue of Liberty and many more. Inside the Conservatory you’ll also find the garden’s collection of DC’s iconic landmarks, one of the city’s largest indoor Christmas trees and a showcase of poinsettias. 10 a.m.-8 p.m. @ 100 Maryland Ave SW (FREE)

  • Swedish Christmas Bazaar. The bazaar will feature Swedish arts & crafts; crystal, textiles, artwork, books, decorations, and much more.   • MetroCooking DC 2016: This year marks the 11th annual MetroCooking DC Show! The ultimate food lover’s weekend returns to the Washington Convention Center. Enjoy samples from local restaurants and breweries, learn new techniques and tips, book signings,celebrity appearances, and more. 10 am @ 801 Mt Vernon Pl NW. Tickets can be found at

  • Reindeer Run: Kick off the holiday season with a jolly jog or stroll (1 mile or 5k fun run/walk) through the beautiful streets of Capitol Hill! This fundraising event is sponsored by Howl To The Chief and Summit To Soul and is open to all fitness levels. 100% of the proceeds go to benefit the "underdogs" of Rural Dog Rescue. Bring your dog, borrow a dog or run/walk with one of Rural Dog Rescue's homeless dogs! Refreshments and light snacks provided afterwards. Be there at 9:30! 733 8th St SE.   • ZooLights: More than 500,000 environmentally-friendly LED lights transform the Zoo into a winter wonderland complete with a dazzling light show set to music!   Every night from 5-9pm @ 3001 Connecticut Ave NW  (FREE)

  • Holiday Market: Celebrating its twelfth year, this event boasts one of the most spectacular outdoor shopping environments in the region.  This year the Downtown Holiday Market will open Friday, November 25, and will run continuously through Friday, December 23.  Hours will be from Noon to 8 pm each day between 7th & 9th St NW.
