How Can I Sound Smart At A SuperBowl Showing?

Each winter, millions of Americans gather around their televisions to watch the most-watched program on television for Super Bowl Sunday! This year,  the New England Patriots routed the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship Game, and the Atlantic Falcons earlier beat the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Championship Game. So the Patriots and the Falcons will face off in the Super Bowl LI and here's what you need to know:

when:

February 5th, 6:30PM

WHERE:

Houston, Texas

whose singing the national anthem?

Luke Bryan.  Who's that?  Your guess is as good as mine.

whats going on at HALF TIME SHOW:

Lady Gaga will do whatever it is Lady Gaga does.  If this is the only part of the Super Bowl that interests you, tune in around 8PM.

will the COMMERCIALS be any good:

No. Never. Don't let anyone lie to you.  They are not funny. They are not clever.  They are just ads for American beer.  If you're laughing it means you need to stop drinking beer.

WHAT BARS/RESTAURANTS TO GO TO IN ADAMS MORGAN:

Ventnor Sports Cafe.  2411 18th Street NW.

Black Squirrel.  2427 18th Street NW.

Jack Rose Dining Saloon.  Super Beer-B-Q, an epic battle among barbecue styles and breweries.  2007 18th Street NW.

FUN FACTS:

The New England Patriots have won four Super Bowls since 2000, and have played in eight total.  The Atlanta Falcons have only made it to the Super Bowl once in their history, in 1999, and lost to the Denver Broncos 34-19.

On Super Bowl Sunday, Americans will drink an estimated 325.5 million gallons of beer and devour 1.25 billion chicken wings.  Do your part.

Tom Brady is one of just three quarterbacks to ever win four Super Bowls.  The other two are Joe Montana and Tom Bradshaw.   If the Patriots win, Brady will have more Super Bowl rings than any other quarterback in history.

In the first Super Bowl in 1967 a 30 second commercial cost advertisers $40,000.  In 2016 a 30 second ad cost $5 million.

Tom Brady has only ever lost the Super Bowl to Eli Manning and the New York Giants.  If you want to make a Patriots fan cry, just say this.
